We have had a wonderfully smooth first week of school at Bryant Woods and are starting our 50th year STRONG! Students have been engaged in learning and are continuing to acclimate to their new teachers, routines and schedules. We are so proud of them all! We will continue to encourage positive behaviors and learning strategies for our students to be the best they can be.
Thank you to all parents who have completed the Family File (emergency form) online. Currently, 60% of our families have completed/updated their emergency information, however there are still 184 students that we do not have emergency information for. Once you are in the site you can follow the directions If you need to reset your password or have forgotten please call the school office and a secretary can reset it for you. In the event you do not have access to a computer we will have laptops available at Back To School Night for you to complete it. We are looking for 100% completion by September 26th! We can do it BEARS!
Bryant Woods Elementary has partnered with the Howard County Community Action Council and the Howard County Food Bank! Bryant Woods has an in-house food pantry that is open to the community! Our Food Pantry was established to support our families and provide easy access to nonperishable food. The vision of the partnership is to ensure that hunger is not an obstacle for students coming to school ready to learn. The Food Pantry will be open:
Days: Tuesdays and Fridays Time: 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM
Each guest must present a Valid Form of Identification (License) and must be a Howard County resident. Individuals may have use of the pantry once a month.
Sharing is Caring . . . This week was a scorcher and students got an early taste of indoor recess. There is rain in the forecast for next week so we are reaching out to ask for “gently used” or new board games for students to play during indoor recess. We would also appreciate donations such as:
- crayons/markers/colored pencils
- coloring books
- playing cards
- small dry erase boards and markers
