Updates from YOUR PTA:
Thank you to all of our families that have joined the PTA thus far, and we look forward to receiving memberships from our remaining families! Membership cost are $10 per adult and help directly support the work happening within our classrooms as well as around the school. We appreciate all of our families that came out for our October General Membership Meeting where we got a firsthand look at the plans for the new "Downtown Columbia." Our November meeting will focus on understanding the different parts of your child's report card as well as suggested questions and conversations to have during your Parent/ Teacher Conference. We would also like to encourage all of our families to become a "Room Parent" for your child(ren)'s classroom.
The BWES PTA would like to invite all of our families receiving Special Education Services to our Chat and Chew on Monday, November 6 from 6:30 - 7:30 PM. Our goal is to simply get a better understanding of your experiences and learn how we can be an advocate for you and your child on both the County and State level.
As a final reminder, our Fall Fest will take place TOMORROW, October 28! Gather the family and join the Bryant Woods PTA for an afternoon of Fun! Partipate in a variety of games that will bring enjoyment to the entire family. Food and snacks will be available for purchase. This event is FREE but Monetary Donations will be accepted throughout the event. All proceeds will benefit Student Activities and School Support through the PTA
Lastly, as we finalize our Fundraiser and Restaurant-Night schedule for the year, be sure to take advantage of our Clothing to Cash Program. The Clothing to Cash bin is located in the parking lot of the school (by the playground) and the program will accept items in ALL conditions: new with tags, or torn, stained, worn-out knees, shoes with holes or only one shoe, backpacks, old sheets, stuffed animals, and more. What a great way to raise money for our school and clean out your closets! All donations must be bagged and put in the collection bin.
FROM THE HEALTH ROOM:
The dentist will be visiting Bryant Woods on November 15-16, 2017. If you would like your child to be seen by the dentist there is still time to return your consent form. Extra copies are available in the health room. Please contact Ms. Jerome in the health room at 410-313-6859 to request a form.
