Computer Coding at Home

We had a wonderful time celebrating Computer Science Education Week at Bryant Woods! Every student Prekindergarten through 5th grade had the opportunity to participate in the 4th annual Hour of Code event and spend an hour learning and exploring the world of computer programming.

Even though the Hour of Code week is over at the woods, code.org is available all year round. Students can find all of the coding activities they tried during their hour as well as others for future exploration. This week students practiced sequencing activities and problem solved while controlling and creating characters and environments of their own making. There are fun and engaging activities for all ages available. Anybody can code!

No computer at home? No problem. Code.org also has a variety of applications for android and apple devices.

Thank you for celebrating Computer Science Education Week with me!
